Worst footballing memories
On the pitch obviously, not games where its been freezing and the game totally shite. Matches that had you embrassed and wanting the ground to eat you up.
Manchester United 6 - 1 Arsenal 2001 Old Trafford horrible just fucking horrible. Henry equalised after about 20 minutes and we went in at half time 4-1 down.
Spurs 91 fa cup semi final . I still hate that prick Gascoigne.
Luton Town 1988 league cup final.

Your lot beating us in the final game of the season with M. Thomas dragging the league from us with the last kick of the season still stings to this day

Worst moments
As far as moments actually watching games, the Arsenal one is right up there.
Riise's own goal in the CL semi-final was pretty bad too, have to agree with that. FA Cup Final 1996, the result and the suits, horrific. Have been to Anfield for a couple of CL defeats, Benfica and Lyon, both terrible performances. Kenny resigning, I was speechless listening to what was being said, and for a while afterwards too. He has shown what a class person he is.
To be honest, I feel bad anytime we concede a goal or lose a game, takes a while to get my head round it.
As far as worst moments involved with watching football goes, Hillsborough & Heysel, it was heartbreaking. Never been so sad in my life, and although I am not in any way directly involved or related to any of the 96, any time I go to Anfield, I make sure I go to the memorial, and also to the Justice Campaign shop, buy a few things, show my support.

Leicester at home in 99. Losing 1-0, with half the Kop more interested in United's game in Turin.
Losing 2-0 at home to Bolton in the Cup.
Andy Cole hat trick at St James, the coldest I've been in my life.

Good call on the Leicester game. Shudders.
96 Cup Final broke my 13 year old heart.
Equally, the Cup tie against United a few years later where they scored 2 late goals after Owen put us ahead.
Athens has to be up there, and more than a few games from last season too.

In the recent memory.
Chelsea CL defeat at home.Completely outplayed by a team at anfield after a long while.
Athens has to be up there. Some of the managerial decisions that night were a bit baffling that added to the frustration.
Took ages to get over that defeat.

Losing to relegated West Ham and the to Liverpool in 92 when we should have pissed the league.
Any defeat to City, rare as rocking horse shit until last 3 years.
Defeat at home to div 3 Leeds last season.
Engerund 1990 when I still really cared.
Not including the 1-4 against you because at the time it did not feel as bad as many other defeats because we were well clear and strolling to the title, until subsequent wobbles, and near fuck up.
Probably worse is surrendering the title at home to Arsenal in such tame fashion, real gutless display.

Think you're being a bit harsh to city. They started to get the wins in 2002, just saying

The back end of 89.
Seeing a live defeat for the first time - Villa Park 1981 lost 2-0
Kenny resigning
Bristol City FA cup 1994 - lost 1 - 0 tempered by being Souness' last game.

I said until last 3 years 'rare' Between the 5-1 defeat and dec 2006 (17 years) we lost just 2 games in 25, I would say that is rare and not harsh!!
If you start siding with City I could go off you!

Half time in Istanbul. That was the only game that I have ever seen Liverpool live. Was questioning everything at that point. Was it a fluke run? Is
Rafa really a waiter? Can we concede 3 more? Am I a jinx?
You know the rest of the story.
For a whole game, it's got to be Arsenal. I cried myself to bed that night!!
