Excuse the rant....

It's been less...

Excuse the rant....

It's been less than 12 hours....and it seems the fingers are on the eject buttons. Seen so many supporters on here already threatening that they want out. They won't buy new club merchandise, they won't go to games, they won't back certain managers etc.

Am also reading many posts about how far the club has fallen, and how far behing we are our rivals. So many people on here seem genuinely scared for the future of our club. I've even read thoughts of relegation scraps looming.......and to be honest it baffles the shit out of me.

It might not seem it right now, but this club is still in a very strong position and the future is nowhere as bleak as some people think. We can compete again on all levels and am confident we will - VERY soon.
The first and biggest step towards this is what happens over the next few days.

Daglish being sacked is shit. It was a bad move by the owners in my opinion. But it's done.......and there's no way back from that. I am already tired of the squabbling on here, all from people who ALL love and cherish this club (even if they have different ways of showing it)

Personally I think that this kind of pointless arguing and negative atmosphere has been building up for a long time, and is the result of a number of seasons of below expectation achievements. I think it has had, and is still having an almost imploding effect on the club and all those associated with it. The post match boo-ing, ex-players turned pundits constantly criticising the manager and players, the sheer lack of class from certain so called fans. I think it has to stop NOW before we drive this club into the ground.

So now as fans, and as a club we have two choices.....

1) We panic. We bitch, we complain, we protest and we boycott games. We argue about how far the club has fallen. We complain that that it's all the yanks. That they don't understand the history of the club or what Dalglish meant to the fans.......and we go on and on about the injustices done to us and our club.

2) We unite and we fight. We unite as a club and every single person associated with LFC works towatds improving our fortunes. So....we give the owners a chance to justify their decision. We get 100% behind WHOEVER they decide to bring in as his replacement, regardless of whether or not we think they are good enough for the club. We give 100% support to whichever transfers / players come in over the summer, and we give the team a chance to settle down.
Most important of all, by the time next season starts....we are 100% united behind the team, so that the support from day one of the season is booming. This is what we need to do, and it's the only way we can hope to take the club to it's former strength.

I know where I will be come opening day......will leave the rest of you to decide what you want to do ;)

Liverpool FC has once been the greatest...

Liverpool FC has once been the greatest club in the world. We had a team full of winners, beating everything that was put infront of us. We had the greatest managers, clever and humble people, who knew more about football than any manager out there today. We had the best supporters in the world, always supporting the team through good and bad times, always proud to support LFC.

That football club has ceased to be quite some time ago. The people in charge changed the club and made some, at the very least, questionable decisions. A low point was reached when tow Texan cowboys decided it'd be fun to "invest" in a soccer club they'd never heard about before. Their first action was to sack one of the best managers we'd had for years and, to quote one of the most highly regarded posters on here, replace him with a "puppet". The "puppet" never stood a chance and massively contributed to his own downfall with one of his first interviews he gave as Liverpool FC manager, saying he hopes it won't cause any strains in his relationship with his good mate Sir Alex. Many more highly inadequate interviews followed along with piss poor football and according results. After half a year Liverpool FC were close to relegation and the club was only a day away from going into administration.

Then the supposed saviours come along. Again, Americans. Proper businessmen with a very decent track record when it comes to leading sports clubs in the right direction. They come across as decent and very understanding people and most Liverpool fans are incredibly relieved to have avoided administration. Their first action is to install Kenny as interim manager and every red heart lights up! What an incredible turnaround! It feels like we've won the fucking jackpot!

That new manager works fucking miracles and things change for the better out of the blue. Some might say it's almost like waving a magic wand. The players seem interested again, the fans are chanting again and most importantly, we're winning again. Almost feels like old times!

Then the summer came and the big question arose, whether that one Kenneth Mathieson Dalglish would be installed as permanent manager. Once more, FSG prove to be the perfect owners and fulfil every single fan's wish. Kenny is our new manager and is granted a three-year contract. Things couldn't be much better.

A new season starts. A season that will later prove to be very tumultous! We're off to a fantastic start, at least playing-wise. The results at times don't reflect that but there's optimism all around. Then an early blow: Lucas, our best player out for the season! But we're a team, we can cope. We manage to keep our performance levels up, then the next blow. Our second best performer, Suarez, gets an incredible 8(9) game ban on the base of an unproven claim, made by a certain manc.
The turn of the year. The table still looks good but all of a sudden, our performance level drops. We manage to raise our game in the cups and against the big teams, win the carling cup. Then the hammer blow against Arsenal. We outplay the all game and they nick all the points with an injury time winner. The players stop believing and seem to be content with Europa League football next season. The less said about the rest of the season, the better.

The season comes to an end. Now what? Speculations arise that Dalglish will be let go. Surely that can't be? Surely he deserves another season, despite the poor league form? After all, he's King Kenny and not only that, he's got a fucking impressive CV to go along with his legendary status at the club.
The plot thickens and the mood gets more and more tense with every passing hour.

Finally, a statement. Kenny's been let go! Utter disbelief!

Those news reached us today. A day where the club has reached a new low. Whatever there was left of the great club that Liverpool FC once was, has been killed off today, by some cunt(s) across the pond, that couldn't have made a worse choice. They'll realize soon enough!

What now?

Lifelong Reds are starting to question their support for what they knew to be Liverpool FC.
Without Kenny Dalglish, without proper supporters and without passionate players who play for the shirt...

... what's left of Liverpool Football Club?

No doubt that he will always be a red, and his name will fondly echo through the ages as the man who contributed greatly to one of the best cup wins in our illustrious history. But when I think of Kenny punching the air whenever we scored, and contrasting that with Rafa's almost emotionless demeanor, I don't think I could ever invest as much as I did when The King ran down the touchline, celebrating as a true supporter always should.

Forgive me for being over-dramatic but I don't think we'll ever, ever see a manager at the helm with as much passion and unconditional love for the club as King Kenny.

That is what has been snatched so cruelly from us by Henry and his lackeys. Thanks very fucking much.

Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre has paid tribute to Kenny Dalglish whilst rubbishing claims that he had also left the club.

The Merseyside giants confirmed the departure of Dalglish on Wednesday, sacking the Anfield legend after their worst league campaign in over half a century.

Ayre, speaking to Sky Sports News, confirmed that Dalglish was still held in the highest regard by the club.

"Obviously it was a difficult decision, he is a great legend of this football club who has brought a lot, even in this last 18 months," said Ayre.

"But we feel it is the right decision and something we have to move forward with, but lots of praise and admiration for the great man.

"We have a big long-term plan for this club, and we have always talked about moving forward and progress on and off the pitch, we have created a lot of foundation to build the business on and increase revenue and other things.

"But next, the most important thing is football and results were perhaps not where we wanted them to be and that drives the decision."

Quizzed about whether Dalglish could again move to a role 'upstairs' at Anfield, he refused to be drawn.

Moving forward

"Today is about moving forward and the future is for discussion in the future," he said.

He was also quick to deny rumours suggesting that he was also on his way out of Anfield

"Absolutely not, no question of that from my point of view, and no induction of that from anyone upstairs," he said.

"The football club is now in a much healthier shape than it was last January off the pitch.

"The owners have removed the debt and everything is now being put in place to compete commercially and financially with our main rivals.

"The only missing piece of the jigsaw - the most important piece of the jigsaw - is football and success in the Premier League.

"The club has a clear long-term strategy in place to get to where we want to be - on and off the pitch - and that is why changes have been made on both the football and business sides of the club.

"Whilst Kenny is disappointed to have left, he's a man of great dignity and the respect we have for him will never change."
