Chelsea 'supporters' booing their players shouldnt really come as a surprise, should it?

Most of 'em probably 'supported' another team 5 years ago.

F**k off Chelsea FC,
You ain't got no history,
5 European Cups and 18 Leagues,
Now that's what we call History.

They really are a terrible lot. Think a victory over them (for me) comes second only to beating Man United. I enjoy victory over Chelsea more than I do over Everton.

Pity about those 2 quick goals they got. If they'd lost and we beat Villa tomorrow, then we'd be only 9 points behind them with 18 games left to play, as opposed to 12 points behind them with 19 to play just one match ago.

Oh well. Still have to beat Villa regardless, keep clawing back points on those who are above us.

They've just lost their star man for a month as well in Drogba so they could have an interesting January!

All's that will do is help united to get to 19.

Funny thing is, this campaign looks to be now one of the few times that I actually want them to do well. I mean, sure, it's not mathematically impossible that we could catch up the league leaders up, but it's not likely. As such, I'd much rather it was Chelsea winning the league than United.

Lesser of two evils and all that.

Na I know, I don't really want Chelsea to drop points. I think it's safe to say we're not winning the League so would rather anybody but United.

A lesser evil again if Arsenal were to win the title. Not only are they not Chelsea or Man United, but they play attractive football and have a couple of very likeable characters in their team.

I agree. Winning by the unfortunate own goal - then again, Drogba leaves soon and Chelsea doesn't look half as good as they did two months ago. 2 points behind with our injured players coming back in January. What a strange season, nobody title worthy so far.

....Drogba leaves soon and Chelsea doesn't look half as good as they did two months ago....

Shame Chelsea's January games are against Hull, Sunderland, Birmingham and Burnley, with the two harder games (in my opinion) being at Stamford Bridge (Sunderland and Birmingham).

I'd really much rather, for the sake of Liverpool's hopes of working their way up the table, they were facing yourselves, Spurs, City, Villa or Arsenal in there when they're missing Drogba, but it wasn't to be.

You'd probably have taken a game against them without Drogba I'd suspect, given that you're fresh off a 3-1 away win?

A month ago I would have said that they will win their January games despite their absentees and are the favorites for the league. Today I am sure they will struggle. Essien and Drogba out, that seems to be a huge problem for them. They have played bad in the recent five games, which gives us and Arsenal a lot of hope (us more, because we played horrible football recently).
I thought the ship sailed for us after the Fulham game, being 5 points behind and what not. Now we're two points behind - considering how many games have to be played, it is really nothing.
Personally I can't believe we're up there with 5 losses. Looks like last season already - United not so great, but everyone else much worse.

Fair points.

Wigan, Birminghma, Burnley and Hull before you face Arsenal.

Feeling optimistic there?

Yes, pretty optimistic, aside from the the Arsenal game. Birmingham will be difficult, but if we want to go for the title, we have to win this. We probably won't make it past the quarterfinals in the CL, so 13 points out of the five games is mandatory to make sure we're in it when things get tight during March and April.

Drogba, Obi Mikel, Kalou and Essien.

That's all I can think of regarding their first team. Can anyone confirm one way or another?

Big, big losses for them. Shame their January fixture list looks quite forgiving, but fingers crossed they'll struggle.

Hey, we've done it too. Admittedly rarely compared to other supporters. The difference is that they have massive expectation plus probably a majority of new support allied to complacency due to winning most of their games, whereas we just support, no matter what. During the African Nations tournament I suspect there might be a little more booing, the downside being that the scum might capitalise on that.

They might indeed. But Arsenal might too. Can foresee them going on a bit of a run. They'll be flying after that 3-0 over Villa and have the following games coming up in the Premier League:

Portsmouth
Bolton
Everton
Bolton again
Villa again.

Their run may come to a half though when they face United then Chelsea. Hopefully be tired/have picked up an injury or two before they then take on us.
