The poll feature on the forums is an ideal opportunity for members to quickly and easily get others opinions on issues without requiring others to post replies. Both members and guests can vote on polls, so the results can sometimes be very interesting.
Over the last few months the poll feature has been abused by a small number of members. In order to seek support for their own opinion they have often posted a poll with biased or leading voting options.
Because of this the feature was temporarily suspended while we decided how much value polls gave to the forums and to make administrative changes.
We have now decided to reintroduce the poll feature under the condition that members post them sensibly. We reserve the right to remove or edit polls which we deem to be pointless or biased in any way.
Persistent offenders may have their permission to post polls removed or be suspended or banned with or without warning.
