Does anyone know of any decent, reasonably priced speakers that can be used witha laptop, but still give good quality sound?
I enjoy listening to itunes and spotify, just haven't got a decent sound coming out!

Best pc speak setup I've heard is this
Jamo i300

Price on it varies alot online. ive seen it for as low as £179 and as high as £350. My next door neighbour has it the sound is incredible, it picks up really low bass frequencies good for listening to dubstep on  the speakers are tiny but pretty weighty for the size of them. You can crank it up pretty loud without getting any distortion whatsoever.

I just run mine through my amp on aux, but I do have a set of portable creative (designed for a zen really) speakers which are pretty decent for when you want to move room or whatever. Depends what you want to spend I guess...

I got some Logitech x540 PC speakers for £50 from Amazon a couple of years back. As they're 5.1 speakers, you could even connect them to your tv and use them as a home cinema system if you wanted.
I'd recommend them. You'd be hard pushed to get anything of better quality for the price.

How much have you to spend?
You can get some cheap active speakers that will do the job for a couple of hundred quid or less. A decent pair of active speakers can cost a fair bit but then I am practically obsessed with sound quality so I won't even bother to recommend some of the stuff that I might look at!
The other option is stick it through your hifi amp and via your current speakers. If you want even better sound quality you can buy an out board dac (digital to analogue converter) and then stick it through your hifi amp.
A yet further option is to put it through a pair of active speakers that have a dac built in. Prices range from £500- what ever you want to pay!
It all depends on budget.

What car speakers would you recommend? My budget would be around £200.
I've already got a 1000W sub and 450w amp with a blaupunkt bremen headset installed.

Dynaudio Sam.
They are pretty good at domestic speakers and have recently moved into car audio.
Volvo use them now and I have had a couple of pairs for the house and I have always found them to be excellent. They sound much bigger than they look and won't give you a head ache when turned up loud if you know what I mean (some speakers just hurt the ears!)
They need a bit of power behind them but if 450w isn't enough then I don't know what is!

I don't have much knowledge about speakers and sound, but 3 years ago I needed something at a fair price and decent sound, and bought these

It's not something very flash and state of the art, but i'm very happy with them - especially at that price, the sound is flawless...
would recomend them any day... of course only for laptop purposes, But i use them for my tv as well...
