Itunes duplicate tracks.

Whilst moving my itunes library to an external hard drive about a thousand tracks duplicated themselves.

I've read through literature I've bought and been on the itunes website but the only way I can find to delete the duplicates is by sitting there and manually deleting them individually- absolute tedium.

Does anyone know of another way???

Under the file tab is the option to show duplicates, you then need to clear the check box on the ones you want to keep and then delete the rest.
