I wasn`t at Download but I`ve become good mates with a guy who`s the singer with a Tool tribute band called The Grudge and he was gutted when I told him I saw F.N.M. live three times. Are they doing a Europewide tour?

Saw them at Wembley when they supported Guns N Roses more years ago than I care to remember now. Fantastic band and as has been said, never knew they had reformed.

Plus Mike Patton sings; not that Chuck guy.
Who wasn't even the first singer, if my memory serves me well.

I think Chuck was the original vocalist and when he was binned off, Courtney Love almost got the gig.
Mike Patton had just started out with Mr.Bungle, and they were gathering a lot of interest. Luckily for Faith No More, he took the job and the rest is history.

I love Mr fucking Bungle. Their first record "Cotton Candy Autopsy" is fucking classic.
Songs like, "Girls of Porn", "Squeeze Me Macarone" and my favourite "Stubb a Dub" are tight as fuck and defo inspirational.
Thought their second record, "Disco Volante" was borderline unlistenable though. "Desert Search for Techno-Allah" was sound, but a 12 minute scuba diving solo ?! WTF !
Third record - forget the name - was a return to form though.
Always a big FNM fan though. Me and our kidder actually saw them with Chuck Mosely on vocals at Newcastle Riverside donkeys years back...and I've seen them probably another 6 or so times with Patton on vocals.
Cracking band.
Favourite tracks ? Possibly "R n R" from Introduce Yourself. I love "Paths of Glory" from Album of The Year, "The Real Thing", "Everythings Ruined"...I could go on.
Great band.

'Album of the Year' is an absolute 'lost' classic.
Favourite track of theirs: "Be Aggressive'

Spot on, Album of the Year is way underrated mate.
You know another album which, I believe, could also be described as a lost classic ? Soundgarden's, "Down on the Upside".
I was so disappointed when I first heard that, and I really tried hard to get into it...left it alone for a couple of years, gave it another listen and thought, "WOW".
I love that fucking record now. The track, "Tighter and Tighter" is amazing.
What about, "Crack Hitler" ? "Ashes to Ashes" ? "Chinese Arithmetic" ? "Surprise You're Dead" ?
Over to you Evs / Al / any fucker...becoming a bit of a love in this !

Also a recent favourite of mine.
I finally heard 'album of the year' a few years ago and didn't like it. But I listen to it fairly often now, and adore 'Stripsearch', which is a classic and no doubt.
Other favourites?
Be aggressive
From out of nowhere
War pigs
Everything's ruined
Cuckoo for caca
As for Mr Bungle, I love this song and video:

Sorry had no idea people were chatting on this thread about one of my all time fav bands, saw FNM at portsmouth pyramids in 95-6 I remember it was mad coz one of the lighting rig towers fell over. Mike Patton is awesome great voice and very funny guy.
My fave song's: The real thing, Kindergarten, We care a lot, last cup of sorrow. but I love all their stuff they're right up their with wildhearts and the almighty in my book.

First mention of The Wildhearts here! A very decent band.
I've been banging on about The Almighty here for ages. Not many people know them here. Funny, as they're the best British band since Iron Maiden. Saw them live a few times, and my God they were top class.

Did a phenomenal cover of Elvis Costello's 'Pump It Up', which, as far as I know, was only ever available on a CD given away free with Select magazine sometime in the mid-late '90's.
