Even thought it is the times, i'm not sure about its reliability. Although this could have been organised by Liverpool to ease fans' worries...

Sounds positive unless the source is some manc having a laugh.

“We have more spare cash to spend than any club except Chelsea.” erm, that Man City seem to have a few quid as well.

Rafa will have sorted the transfer budget out before he signed his new deal

I imagine we will have 20m to spend plus whatever he recoups

I'm not worried about the summer to be honest. The season only ended a couple of weeks ago and I'm sure even Rafa allows himself a holiday- we'll have it all sorted before pre season starts just like he wanted.

A football holiday perhaps.:D

At the end of the day people can choose to believe anything and everything they read but what's the point? Until it's a done deal there's no point panicking. We (namely Rafa) will be doing everything we possibly can to bring in players that'll strengthen the squad/team. Nailed on.

Sit back and enjoy the summer. The new fixtures are out in a couple of weeks.:D

There is something going on behind the scenes. A source close to the club told me that contrary to the assurances given to Benitez about the amount of transfer funds available, he has now been told that any transfer spend must be funded by sales. Benitez is pissed off. Apparently, there maybe some "news" about this on Wednesday...

Good story, wasn't bothered anyway though just think some people should get a grip.
Who didn't think that 2 guys who owned a combined near 1 bil worth of sports assets wouldn't have a reasonable amount of liquid assets.
Still not a fan of there's though, love that word reniged sounds classier than lied about.

If thats your reasoning for being relaxed then it could be time to panic.

Although your right, we are secure but not for the reason above.

You'd like to think so eh. Either some sad cunt with nothing better to do in the summer than spread shite about or he's walking Wednesday.

If he was planning on doing one I'm not sure why he would be making adjustments to the backroom staff and out in Spain talking to players.

Perhaps the news on Wednesday will be of our first summer signing?

Mate I hope so

I can't imagine the backlash if rafa quit

If rafa was promised a budget and the owners are now sayin no I'd be livid too.

We are so close and for the owners to pull something like that

Like I said can't imagine the carnage

Ive heard and read stuff quite on the contrary to what you've said. Even with all the financial troubles (which have been blown way out of proportion - not that the figures aint big) Rafa will still have a fair chunk of money (+player sales) to spend. The financial troubles of G&H wont affect the club in the transfer market. Its not like they're broke. They see LFC as a profitable asset (i know that sounds bad but we made record profit this year - over 10 mill) and they (oops edit) DO want to continue with this success (hence fund the transfers and keep us moving forward).

Hope so. Just relaying info I heard. We increased turnover but we didn't make a profit.

I don't really understand why we would make public how much transfer money the manager has to spend. That doesn't really help anyone.

I think half the figures bandied around about how much Rafa has are made up anyway.

Who knows for certain? Only Rafa and probably 1 or 2 in the club: namely the financial director and the CEO (owners aside).

Can I go to bed yet ? there's only 1 hour left of wednesday and i'm fed up of waiting.
Unless the big news from "your source on the inside" was Rafa saying Masch wont be leaving, I and a lot others could have told him that;)
