I'm a fan and I would like to go and see them in Manchester if the tickets ever go on sale!

The last three tracks are pretty good. I like Plastic aswell. I agree it's not a stunner. Maybe it's a grower

Plastic would have been good without that stupid knocking in the background.
Deep Waters reminds me of the Ukelele tune off the Jerk. :P
I like it though.

Hmmm I quite like it. I'm liking 'We Carry On' a lot. I can see this getting lots of plays.
On a side note, The Breeders had/have a new album out for anyone who likes Ms. Deal's ethereal voice. Its called Mountain Battles.

I've had an album called Dretox on my PS3 for about a year now, not sure if its the one you mean. Its good though.
Edit: I just looked at the date I imported the file to the PS3, it was 16th March last year, not a bad guess!
Second edit: You got me wondering about this so I looked on Wikipedia and apparently Detox is out Spring/Summer this year. Don't know what it is that I've got then, but whatever it is its pretty good. Probably just a remix album or something.

Ah yes, The Breeders. I got into them via Last Splash and Cannonball. That album has some great tracks on it.

Seems that when ticketmaster says 'Currently Not On Sale' it can also mean Sold Out!
The tickets for all venues bar Wolverhampton have sold out. Just take a look on ebay and you can see tickets for Brixton, Manchester, Edinburgh etc.

Buuuuuuump
Just because I've listened to Third a fair few times now and I think its really excellent. Magic Doors is just sublime, and very Radiohead-esque. I love the little seventies sci-fi effect at the end of Machine Gun too.
The vocals are understated and haunting and its refreshing that a decent female vocalist doesn't feel the need to wail like a banshee at every opportunity.
I have the album on heavy rotation because I find it a little hypnotic. Simple but very very effective.

Used to have one of their albums in my Uni days. Not bad.

Pre-ordered 'Third' without hearing a note, based on loving their first two.
Heard a couple of tracks on a pretentious arts-wankery review show the other night and it sounds a bit post-apocalyptic-Kraftwerky/industrial and 'not all that', on first listening.
Poor to the point I'd pronounce the album title with an Irish accent.
I hope I'm wrong and it's a grower then, but at least it's coming out the same day as HMHB's CSI:Ambleside, which is as reliable a release as it gets, musically, for me.
