Is dying, apparently. Five weeks to live.

Same form of cancer that killed Bill Hicks, if true. (Apparently the Enquirer is just a scandal rag, but I don't know.)

He was quality in Roadhouse and Donnie Darko.

Whoopi's on stand-by apparently. Seriously it is a bit sad . Hope he doesn't suffer with it.

It is a bit sad actually.Roadhouse came up on my lovefilm recommendations the other week and I laughed at the time, but I might just go with it for old time sake.

Why am I not surprised to see you are the person to throw that quote in.

It a shame i actually liked him in "Red Dawn" and "the Outsiders".

Me too mate and also as Bodhi in Point Break. His platonic love affair with Johnny Utah was a thing of rare beauty.
On a serious note it really goes to show that money and fame are no immunity against this awful disease.
Everyone know's someone who has passed away from it and I while i'm no stick in the mud the time of his life quip was in poor taste imo.
Hope against hope the bloke beats it somehow.

The mortality rate from that form of cancer is massive. He may have longer than 5 weeks but his long term outlook is rather bleak.
It is ashame like but que sera life can be a real bitch. And NWR don't be too precious OhDear means no harm. i think;)

Sad news. Pancreatic cancer is an awful thing to be diagnosed with, since the long-term survival rates are very low. Still, it's at a very early stage so there's still hope for him yet. Best of luck, Patrick!
