1st March 2008, 08:53 PM
wwe has always been something I'd watch if there was nothing else on since I was a kid.
the other night I caught 10mins or so floyd mayweather broke(???) big show's nose, then during a break on soccer am this morning I flicked on to see the main event at wrestle mania is mayweather v big show
Is there nothing this man won't do for money??

Surely Mayweather will give him a hiding then...

I don't think Mayweather can pull off the whole 'play-fight' scenario so will be interesting to see how it goes down.

Well it won't be the main event but I don't think it's been announced yet what kind of fight they're having. Should be interesting tho, maybe The Rock will get involved?

The Rock??? How so?

The Rock??? How so?
I'm not sure really :o
I just know The Rock should be there as he's inducting his dad and grandad into the Hall of Fame the same weekend.
I think somebody has to get involved tho, unless they're really going to have Mayweather cleanly go over Big Show. Rey Mysterio is rumoured to be involved somehow as well, tho he can't wrestle cos of the surgery..
Seth7724
2nd March 2008, 10:43 AM
The Rock will never be in wrestling again. Confirmed it in the many interviews he has had on TV the last few days (Soccer AM, Jonathan Ross)
Although he is a legend.
They were talkign about Oscar Del la Hoya getting involved, but he has a fight soon, so has to prepare.
Shane McMahon has been talked about getting involved, and the original plan was to have a tag team, Shan and Big show vs Mayweather and Mysterio, but Mysterio got injured! Apparantly anyway.
Not that I watch it or anything

Yeah I had heard that De La Hoya had been approached but turned it down due to his upcoming fight.
It was just a bit of a shock when Mayweather fully hit Big Show 4 times then the next night Show had a broken nose and black eyes!
John Cena's recently been "shooting" on The Rock so perhaps they're planting the seeds for Rock to come back and feud with Cena? :)

Thats also rubbish.
Cena was anoyed due to the rock not being involved in his dad's inducting into the Hall of fame. This was when Cena was in England, he gave this interview. Since then The Rock has agreed to do the induction, but as they do. The Shit stirring scumbags at that rag, just bought out the interview.

See the site I read it on didn't quote where it was from
Just said he was pissed off at The Rock basically.
I wanted Rock to have a shot on Soccer AM but only Danny Dyer and Tamar Hassan did it :(

He didn't join in with much on soccer AM, apart from punching that manc twat. (Well pretending to)
He didn't even give the boxing game a go!
Was great on Jonathan Ross though, maybe he needs a few drinks down him before he's fun!

wrestling is the biggest load of bullshit i think i've ever seen, fake as fuck, it doesn't even look real. I really struggle to sit down a wach a full wrestling match. boxing takes the cake for me its a mans sport unlike wrestling. although i have to take my hat of to the guys who can do all those airial moves. for Floyed Mayweather to get involved in wrestling just shows what a money hungrey bastard he is:mad:, god i wish ricky hatton kicked his ass

Don't take wrestling so seriously, and you'll enjoy it! Never fails to raise a smile with me. Just relax and be entertained, don't treat it like a competitive sport.

What was your favourite name for a wrestling move?
The cross face chicken wing by Bob Backlund has to be up there surely.Though I wouldn't like to be gripped by the Mandible Claw.

Roddy Piper was in it until about 18 months ago i'd say. Mr Perfect actually passed away a while back and god knows what happened to the Bushwackers!

He did use the DDT as his finisher yeah.
Still alive tho, and I believe he's in talks with WWE about being inducted into this year's Hall of Fame.

I love it whenever an old skool wrestler returns, two particular favourites of mine being Hulk Hogan and Mick Foley. That 15th Raw Anniversary episode was immense, took me back 15 years!
Also, for me Royal Rumble was always my favourite main event - you can keep your Wrestlemania, the Rumble's where the carnage is at!

I stayed up until 2 am last night to watch the re-run
utter shite
basically there was no fight just big show standing on him as he lay on ground
then after being dragged from the ring by his management mayweather return to give him a few smacks of a chair, and big show couldn't get to his feet in 10.....?
he can manage to get up in 3 most other nights
crap
and whats worse is I had a few beers watching it so I had a nasty hangover this morning
