We went last year and it was awesome, it was strange seeing people not dressed up as priests or nuns. I went to a christening 6 weeks later and there was a priest at the party having a pint, I came very close to slapping him on the back and making some bizarre comment and then remembered that he was a real priest and probably would not know what I was on about and be quite scared.

Most Priests I know loved the programme, so chances are he'd get your joke. I wouldn't try it with a retired Priest though.
