Just put the mens final on now, whats going on with the court? Are they not playing on centre court? Or is it centre court? Where is the roof?

Yeah, they are on Centre Court but there's no roof this year, it returns in 2009. I think they're building a retractable roof, they also need to strengthen the walls to hold up the heavier roof.

Well done Federer. Now he only needs 1 more to equal Great Britain's William Renshaw who has the most strait wins with 6 strait titles. Who knows he might even equal Sampras's 7 titles.

Apparently when Big Will was playing (1880's?), the defending champion had a bye to that year's final.

I think it's fair to say that Borg and Federer will be the benchmark in future ;)

Yes but didn't Federer have a bye into this years semi-final, me thinks so.

Agreed. Whenever Wimbledon comes round I tend to greet it with a little reservation....got completely into it in the end this year for some reason and I actually thought the womens comp was more enjoyable than the mens and we even had a British winner to finish it off (well done to Jamie Murray).

Also thought Bjorn Borg looked a cross between embarassed and bored yesterday.....must be a hard life sometimes......
