Mate. Your source is the Dailymail....the same source that came out and said he's not moving from Lille. Good player but chances are very slim IMO due to the source.

They live to feed us bullshit.

What don't sign a player cos he's got a daft haircut ... imagine if we'd done that with Abel Xavier!!!

Forward.

I would just be happy he is looking at forwards, it represents intent at the very least.

Not many would disagree that we have needed more personel in the striking role for a few years.

Was impressed with gervinho and can play a number of positions. Hes the type of player we need. Pace, power, technical ability and most importantly a goal scorer rather then a grafter

2005–2007 Beveren 61 caps (14 goals)
2007–2009 Le Mans 59 (8)
2009– Lille 32 (13)

Not exactly the prolific goal getter you make him out to be. :)

Sky sports:

The Ivory Coast star featured in all three of his country's games at the World Cup finals, and he was one of the few plus points for Sven Goran Eriksson's men.

The 23-year-old joined his current club Lille last year, but he is reportedly on the agenda of a host of top clubs from across Europe.

Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid are amongst those said to be keen on securing his services.

But Gervinho has revealed that he is more than happy to stay with Lille next season - unless they tell him otherwise.

"I am flattered by interest from all those big clubs," he told skysports.com.

"I heard so many names, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, Atletico, Bayern, but I am staying with Les Dogues [Lille's nickname],

"I like Lille, I need to confirm the trust they put in me, I will be playing with Lille next season, unless the club says otherwise."

oh well.

i had read that somewhere (on the offal i think)

i response to him not being much better then kuyt stat wise, he is a completely different type of player and would inject pace into our squad

and?

Kuyt has remarkable goals and assists records for a snail!

not sure whether you trying to argue against my point. kuyt contributes well to our team in terms of goals and assists for the position he is played - winger.

gervinho can add a similar contribution but also would add pace to our squad which is something we lack. only torres, babel and johnson have pace. ngog is no slough either but not amazingly quick

Haha - I was just about to post exactly the same thing, Sam; it's all about the 'ho'.

(isnt it always?)

Only if they understand where the line is. If they cross it, they get a pimp-slap.

Whats your definition of the pimp slap?

The back hand across the face or the removal of the glove (glove on hand...) and backhanding with that?

Smithy

glove off for first misdemeanour, 2nd one is a taste of the backhand.

Bitches dont deserve the removal of the mink-lined chinchilla leather glove.
